It is important to keep your family up-to-date with COVID vaccines, and it is safe to get your child vaccinated even if they had a COVID infection recently - however, if your child did just get over COVID, the CDC advises that you may consider delaying their vaccine until 3 months after the infection. This would be to optimize immunity for the duration of winter viral season. (In other words, ride out the immunity boost from infection before “re-upping” with the vaccine before the holidays!)
