Please note that we are awaiting state guidance on how to deliver COVID vaccines to children this respiratory season. Updates will be shared here as soon as we know more. Thank you for your patience.
Today we celebrated ANNA, our medical assistant! Whether she’s fielding phone calls, completing referrals, or getting your child settled in for their doctor’s appointment - she does it all with grace and humor. We are so lucky to have her as part of our small but mighty Puddle Dock team, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her - she is going to make a GREAT Physician Assistant! 💛 🩺 🌈
Due to the global AWS outage, we are unable to receive SMS text messages at this time (UPDATE: as of 7:30am EST, it seems that phone calls are starting to come through!).
But never fear! Current patients can still reach us via:
📱Spruce Messenger, and 💻 the patient portal. We will keep you updated here until full phone service is restored.
Today, our team began administering Beyfortus to qualifying patients to protect them against RSV. Here’s what parents need to know this season:
• WHAT IS RSV? RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is a common virus that can cause serious illness in babies, especially those under 6 months old. It often looks like a cold, but can lead to bronchiolitis or pneumonia.
• WHY DOES THE RSV SHOT MATTER? This RSV antibody injection can help protect your baby before they get exposed. It’s especially important during fall and winter, when RSV cases tend to spike.
• WHO SHOULD GET IT AND WHEN? Babies under 8 months old entering their first RSV season are eligible. Some older babies with higher risk factors may qualify, too. Talk to us to see if your child is a candidate.
• ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS? We’re here to help. Reach out for more information or to schedule an immunization visit for your child. If your child is due for a checkup soon, we will be sure to discuss whether your child is eligible!
As we wrap up the month of September, we’d like to remind caregivers and adult patients to register to VOTE! 🗳️ Make your voice heard and have a positive impact on the health of our kids and communities 🇺🇸 #votekids
